MCSIM Guji Guji Rooster Reunion Night 2017

“PI LI PA LA PI PIA” Yes, it’s time for Lunar New Year again, one of the most important traditional festive among Chinese all around the world. This year, MCSIM had brought all SIM students together by organizing Guji Guji Rooster Reunion Dinner to celebrate this meaningful festival.

Before the event starts, the guests were treated with delicious Chinese delicacies and mandarin oranges which are considered as traditional symbols of abundance and good fortune.
The event was commenced with drums and lion dance by our lion dance troupe to get off to a good start.

Followed by the ice-breaking session, all the guests are required to form a group of 10 persons. Paper board were given to each group and they are required to list down 25 types of Malaysian foods to play a game named BINGO.

How many food have in your mind to set a strategy to win this BINGO ?

The moments were filled with joys, laughter and happiness all around.

Next, Chinese New Year wouldn’t be complete without Yee-Sang!

For your information, eating Yee Sang, or also commonly referred as Lou Hei or Lou Sang, is a cultural activity for Chinese living in Malaysia and Singapore. Every ingredient has their own symbolism such as riches, success, youth and vitality. Many people believe the most you toss the more prosper you are. Let’s HUAT ah!

Lastly, the event came to an end well after the flash mob “团圆” presenting by Excos and all the performers.

Before going to end the night, our Cai shen was giving out all his fortune and luck to our audience and hope all the best to our students who are dealing with exams and assignments!
