Lion Dance Performance collaborate with I-Care

              On 21^st Jan 2017, Mcsim Lion Dance team was so honored to be invited to perform “Cai Qing” in SWAMI Home, which is a Chinese tradition to remove the bad luck and hope that there will be good things such as wealth and health, comes into the house.

                This was the second times the Mcsim Lion Dance performing in SWAMI House, and we feel so thankful to i-Care who invited us twice. It was a great experience to have this meaningful voluntary performance as this gives a lot of pleasure to the elderly.

                This time we bring the “God of Wealth” together with the Lion Dance, hope to bring prosperity to SWAMI Home, and have fun with our lovely elderly, and wish them to have a good health!!

                Next session is “Cai Qing”, a process that the Lion eats the lettuce and then threw up. This signifies the growth of wealth, as translated from Cantonese “Sang Choi”. This process is to bring prosperity into SWAMI home!!

               

        

The last session is to have fun with the elderly. Our “God of Wealth” was going around to interact with them and wish them Happy Chinese New Year and Good Health.

                

        We, the Lion Dance team did get a lot of experiences in this volunteer event and we always emphasize the importance of contribution to the society. In the end, there are a lot of meaningful memories in SWAMI house and we are looking forward to have our next performance next year!! Stay tuned!!
