The main objectives of our welcoming party were to gather all Malaysians in SIM and to provide them a platform to make new friends. It also aimed to welcome all new intake students onboard to our MCSIM family.
The event started with the usual administration procedures, which include registration and giving out of lanyard with participant’s name on it. Participants were then ushered to the cocktail table to enjoy the refreshments prepared such as our Malaysian snacks. Participants were all mingling with each other and it was clear that they bonded really well.

Once all the participants settled down, we played a short introduction video, filmed by our EXCO Team. We were happy to see all the participants enjoying & laughing at the video that we prepared for this event.
It then continued with welcoming speech from our club advisor, Mr Jason Chee and the current president of MCSIM, Esther.

After making sure that everyone present was physically fit to participate in our physical activities, we proceeded to GAME TIME! Before that, we gathered everyone in a circle and did some warming up sessions.
The first game was Human Bingo, with the objective to allow participants to make new friends by interacting with each other throughout the game. Game master, Chun Wei, gave instructions on how the game worked. Participants who completed two lines of BINGO within 10 minutes will receive a small gift from us.

Participants were divided into seven groups and we then carried on with our second game, Goal for It. Game master for this session, Nelson, explained the instructions and rules.
