Life Game 2016 - Lost In Malaysia

LIFE GAME

This year the theme we choose was 'Lost in Malaysia', this theme made a strong impression on many people who firstly heard about this event.

In fact, MCSIM Life Game has always been our annual flagship event to celebrate the diversity and harmony of the multicultural learning environment in SIMGE.

Inspired by the Amazing Race and designed by our previous year committees, this event is certainly one of its kind that incorporates the thrills of competitive sports into the discovery Malaysia to create a whole new dimension of experience.

How is it possible to experience Malaysia in one day?
Let me reveal the secret behind the making of MCSIM Life Game 2016.

We started by identifying the 7 important cultural elements of Malaysia which are geography, language, architecture, food, game, music, and sports. If you ever pay attention to the type of activity (while fighting for points!), you should not be surprised if I tell you that total of 9 stations each represents the 7 important cultural elements of Malaysia respectively and we separated it into 3 categories major games, minor games, and bonus games.

Major games include 3 stations. First of it is food!!! Sounds interesting! Yeah in this station you will be provided few types of “kuih muih” which represents Malaysia very well. After eating it you have to burn your calories in given time.  It’s an interesting game indeed.

Followed by, the language here you have spoken in different slang. Since the way people talks differ according to the part of the country we decided to have this station. The last major game was tourist attraction (Architecture).

Where else, minor game stations consist of Traditional Childhood Game, festivals , states(geography) and sports. Traditional childhood game really brought us back to those childhood memories.

Festival season made us understand more about our traditions. Sport station was different yet fun.
Childhood game station. Looks so fun right.

The last session was the bonus game, Malaysian Speaking style, and Arts musical. After that, they had to find the hidden point. This part was even exciting.

Happy excos and subcommittee after the event.

It’s not possible without them.

The MCSIM Life Game 2016 ended successfully in the evening on 12th November 2016. All members of the event committee would like to give our greatest appreciation to everyone who had participated and supported our event with actions and words. Till we meet again next time!

Cheers,
